Modern Brilliance at BASE: Reverse Lit Channel Letters with a Bold Finish
At CND Signs, LLC, we recently had the opportunity to create and install a sleek new sign for BASE — a project that truly highlights the power of modern design and precision craftsmanship.
Project Overview
For this project, our team fabricated and installed one (1) set of reverse-lit channel letters, built to our standard high-quality specifications and finished in a rich MP Black for a clean, sophisticated look.
Each letter was crafted using durable .090 aluminum faces with .063 3″ aluminum returns, and 3/16″ clear Lexan backs to ensure lasting performance and crisp, even illumination.
The RGB Plus White lighting system (complete with two controllers) allows for customizable color display, from soft white elegance to bold, vibrant hues giving the BASE brand flexibility and visual impact both day and night. These RGB letters bring a dynamic energy that helps BASE stand out among other Austin signs.
Inside each letter, we applied an MP White interior finish to enhance light reflection and create a smooth, consistent glow.
Installation Details
The letters were individually mounted to the wall, with mounting hardware carefully selected based on the wall type to ensure secure and lasting installation.
In addition to the sign fabrication, our scope included painting the existing sign area at the Austin American-Statesman building. The fresh coat of paint was matched closely to the existing color to seamlessly blend the updated branding with the surrounding architecture.
